All the Alumni of REC Srinagar should be happy to know that our instsitute has been declared as "National Institute of Technology" and been granted the status of Deemed University.

For the last 14 years the vale of Kashmir has seen the worst. Our Institute could not remain immune to these happeneings. The Alumni Association, REC Srinagar also became dysfunctional. We are now reviving the Alumni Association of REC Srinagar(now NIT Srinagar).We request that all Alumni of this Institute help in giving a new life to the Alumni Association of NIT Srinagar.

Let us take a pledge to revive the forgotten memories of those days, which we used to spend on the shores of Dal Lake.
