The department was established in 2007 with its first batch of 40 students from all over the country who have qualified the AIEEE exam. We are in a process of developing the labs for the department. Some equipments have already purchased and others are in the process of procurement. Labs for the OOPs and WEB Designing have already been developed. We are having a well qualified faculty with Prof A. H. Mir as H.O.D. The institute has recently completed the project of Campus Wide networking which connects every room of the hostel and official buildings including class rooms. With round the clock net access. We are having a bandwidth of 8 Mbps procured from BSNL to tackle the needs of the students of IT and Computer Engg. We are already having a Wi-Fi sytem in place so that the students can use it for the lab and other purposes. Recently The Hon'ble chairman has inaugrated the Lab of Computer Centre having a sitting capacity of 60 with all nodes having net access and connected to the institute network, which will be used by the students of IT from this session.
