As we know that Physical Education Department is as important as other departments  in Educational Institute which plays a vital role for healthy organization .It is well said that “ healthy body keeps healthy mind” hence, Physical Education is the right step in  developing the all round physical abilities of the student Physical Education Department puts always positive and untiring efforts of develop sports activities for the bonafide interest of the institute and students as well , in which this department succeeded to great extent during  2007- 2008 and the highlights of which are given here as under:

                Open debate among the students of this institute was held in Common Hall were the students showed their keen interest, First three position holders were given the awards/momentos by the Chief Guest Hon”ble  Director,   of our Institute .            

Inter Semester Tournaments Spring/Autumn :- were organized by the Physical Education Department   for Boys  in different major and minor games  i.e.  Cricket,Football,Volleyball,Chess,Carom, Badminton and table tennis

                It  is pertinent to mention here that the Inter Semester Tournaments for Girl Students for the first time were  organized in different minor games  in which the girls were enthusiastic  towards the games and also urged to participate in the major games.

               During the period the  Institute.  Football team  participated in the Inter NIT Football   meet which was   held at  Rourkela, in which the NIT football team qualified   for the  semi finals

               During the period leveling   of the  main play field  was done, and  unwanted  grass/bushes were also removed  from the  play field  and also the courts were made  worth  for playing games.

               Efforts were also made to purchase  various equipments  and machines  for which proposals were submitted  to the Hon”ble  Director.
